Ocean City Fishing Pier
After three months of repairs, the Ocean City fishing pier is back open. A massive wave swept over the harbour during Hurricane Sandy, destroying it. While the dock was unaffected in front of the building, the rest washed away onto the beach. The Pier will be rebuilt to its original size of 489 feet by 20 feet.

The Pier is connected to Jolly Roger’s Pier Amusement Park and extends into the Atlantic Ocean. Fishing at the Pier does not require a fishing license. Visitors can also rent a rod and net for $10. The Pier also features fish-cleaning tables. Located just off the Boardwalk, it is one of the most popular places to fish in Ocean City.
The first extension of the Pier was completed in 1907. A group of local investors developed the project. Initially, it was known as “Taylor’s Ocean Pier.”
